Quality Beginning
From the very beginning, our Association held themselves to high standards.
In the early years, our organization was integral in working with the Canadian Government to get National General Standards added for filled down and feather products - where there were none that existed beforehand.
In the 1980’s, our organization formally put in a candidacy form for new industry standards for down and feather which were accepted in Canada. In addition, we worked to establish proper testing procedures at the Government level.
Quality Continued
To this day, our members continue to strive for high quality and detailed craftmanship in their DOWNMARK® labelled products. Something that our association champions for its membership and we are very proud of.
We continue to advocate for and stay up to date on Global standards and testing methodology by being active in the International Down and Feather Bureau (IDFB) supporting all their initiatives on testing standards, quality definitions, and white paper research in our down and feather field.
