In 2000, our Association created the DOWNMARK® label for easy consumer recognition. It was meant as a visible way for people wanting to buy Canadian-made down and feather products to recognize them. The label is sewn into all qualifying products that are uniquely produced by each of our Canadian Manufacturing Member Companies.
We stand for truth in every label. Every product bearing the DOWNMARK® name is genuinely filled with down or feather as claimed. We act with honesty and authenticity for our message to consumers and the public, with our members, and our work with international colleagues in the not-for-profit country associations. We work collaboratively with members, staff, and external bodies, including regulators and testing laboratories — in mutual respect and shared commitment to quality, ethics, and service.
The rounded label and hang tag were the original set issued and discontinued in 2019. The square label and hang tag are the current set that has been issued from 2019 onwards.
